Workshop, titled “Fostering Peaceful and Inclusive Communities in Bangladesh: The Role of Religious Leaders and Actors”, was organized jointly by the United Nations Office on Genocide Prevention and the Responsibility to Protect and UNDP in partnership with the Save and Serve Foundation in Dhaka.
The two day event’s first day was a half-day programme, where a range of speakers presented analysis on the current situation in Bangladesh.This included clear assessment of the various factors contributing towards intolerance, and the factors impeding efforts to create a more inclusive and tolerant society followed by presentations and Q & A sessions.
