In June 2018, Save & Serve Foundation organized a 2-day workshop titled “Fostering peaceful & inclusive communities in Bangladesh” with support of UNDP Bangladesh. Prominent religious leaderships of different faith groups across the country participated in the workshop to explore the opportunities and mechanism for working together on preventing violent extremism. The participants agreed to work on minimizing the gap amongst mainstream religious groups with that of minorities practicing different faiths, address prevention of incitement to violence, hate speech, intolerance and stamping out religious extremism in all the strata of Bangladeshi social fabric bringing all stakeholders under one umbrella. Foreign and Home Minister along the Principle Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office attended the opening and closure of the workshop. The UN Under Secretary General on Prevention of Genocide was also present in the workshop.
